Tokyo Olympics Allows Transgender Athletes. Unrelated: LeBronda James & Christina Paul Join US Women’s Basketball Team

Tokyo, Japan – For the first time in history the International Olympic Committee has amended their rules allowing transgender athletes to participate in the 2020 Tokyo games. Laurel Hubbard, a New Zealand weightlifter, will be the first openly transgender woman to compete in the Olympic Games which has sparked some concern over fairness.

“People expect an even playing field when they watch the Olympics and we can assure you that trans-athletes do NOT have an advantage over those that identify as their assigned gender at birth.” Women’s Basketball coach, Dawn Staley, said at a press conference. “With that said, I’d also like to introduce two new players to the Women’s Basketball team, LeBronda James and Christina Paul which is TOTALLY unrelated to the recent rule changes.” She added as the two new players walked out to the podium.

“Isn’t that just LeBron James and Chris Paul in a wig?” Asked a reporter.

“I was born into the wrong body!” James immediately shouted. “Me too! Let’s win that gold ladies!” Paul interrupted from behind. “Then go shoe shopping! Yah girl!”

James then announced her multi-million shoe deal to produce a Nike Stiletto which she’ll be wearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit issue next week.

“Ahhhh! I chipped a nail!” James wailed as she walked away slightly brushing up against Paul and flopping to the ground knocking over the podium and ending the press conference.
